The problem
A public email address makes it easy for potential customers to reach you, but also gives automated harvesters an address to collect. Once an address is exposed, it is hard to control who uses it or understand who is behind an incoming inquiry.
How it works
- Move your email address or contact form behind a server-side endpoint instead of exposing the address in public page content.
- Use Valiron to evaluate an agent's identity and available trust signals. Your application can require additional verified profile context, such as a LinkedIn or GitHub account, through the identity integration you connect.
- Reveal the address or accept the inquiry only when your policy passes. Otherwise request additional verification or deny access, and apply request limits to the protected route.
What you get
Anonymous automation has less direct access to your contact information, while prospective customers and their agents have a defined path to reach you. With the sender's consent, your application can attach verified profile context to an inquiry for follow-up.
What to connect
Your team builds the contact endpoint, connects the required identity verification and defines the access policy. Valiron does not classify existing inbox messages as spam or guarantee that a linked social account represents a legitimate inquiry. An address already published elsewhere can still receive unsolicited email, and extra verification may discourage some genuine prospects.
Start small
Start with one contact route and one identity requirement. Keep the email address out of public page content, test the verification flow, and review both blocked requests and completed inquiries before tightening the policy.
